Welcome to the Zen Zone

The Zen Zone is Parkstone’s purpose built, dedicated Holistic Centre and Yoga Studio. We are situated at the Branksome end of Ashley Road, in Davis Road. The Centre is just behind Guitar Mania and next to the Salvation Army Hall (between Heaven and Rock 'n' Roll) and easily accessed from Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.

The Ground Floor has 3 well equipped Therapy Rooms and a quiet-zone waiting area, while the first floor contains the Yoga Studio.

A wide range of Holistic Therapies and Beauty Treatments are provided by fully trained and qualified therapists and in the Studio, there are regular Yoga, Pilates and Chi Kung classes available to suit all levels of student.

8-Week Therapy & Mindfulness Course
Starts Sunday 18th January 10am-12pm

  • Do you wish for more stillness and calm in your mind and a better relationship with your body?
  • Are you fed up of ‘quick fixes’ and ready to step up and take charge of your wellbeing?
The Yoga Therapy 8 Week Course has been specifically designed to empower you with the skills to enhance your mental and physical health in a natural yet powerful way. The course was developed by the Minded Institute - a leading organisation tailoring mind-body practices to support mental health. It is delivered by Dr Lauren Kita - a yoga therapist, yoga teacher and Psychologist (PhD). During the course we investigate and journey into the mind and body, using a combination of mindfulness meditation (one of the fasting growing therapies for mental health) as well as ancient yogic techniques.

Each week of the course we explore a new theme that forms the foundation of our practice. We start by exploring the close relationship between the breath and our emotional system, learning how different practices can affect our nervous system in different ways. We then explore mindfulness through the body and the mind, learning how to de-stress in a natural way.

Yin Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation Workshop

In this months workshop we will be focusing on the power of the breath which is the simplest means of managing stress.  We will strengthen the Lung and Large Intestine meridian. Both meridians have the capacity to support the other for the highest health of the whole body. According to Eastern Medicine, when the lungs are congested or achy with flu, exercises for the large intestine can help shift sickness into balance. Conversely, when the colon or Large Intestine Meridian is stagnant or sore, deep breathing can ignite stronger digestion and elimination. Weakened digestion can lead to skin problems such as acne and emotional symptoms such as being unable to let go - physically, mentally and emotionally.  You will gain an awareness of how you can improve your physical and emotional awareness in order to improve your overall wellbeing to maintain optimum health.
