Karen is sadly stepping back from teaching for a few weeks in order to recover from the car crash in which she was involved last week. She suffers from severe whiplash and needs to rest to build up strength. She will be back teaching from week commencing Monday 8th June 2015.

However, other teachers have kindly agreed to step in and cover her classes in the meantime.

A special yoga workshop focussing on present moment awareness with Dr. Lauren Kita

Saturday 16th May 10am to 12:30pm

Most of us spend the majority of time engaged in past or future thinking. We ruminate about things from the past (typically negative things), which can cause us to feel down, and worry about things in the future, which often never happen. Or perhaps we remember pleasant things from the past, and feel sad that we are no longer in that place. Whichever of these resonates with you, these forms of thinking can play a leading role in stress, anxiety and depression.

Learning to be in the present moment takes patience and practice, but creates feelings of joy and spaciousness. This workshop focuses on ways of integrating mindfulness into our yoga practice and lives. We will also practice techniques including walking meditation, body scanning and breath work.

You will leave feeling restored, balanced and nourished. You will also be provided with hand-outs to take away with you to practice and reflect on in your daily life. All levels welcome.

This workshop costs just £30 per attendee. Please contact Lauren at [email protected] or on 07533 374910 or visit www.wakingwithwellness.com for more information.
